So, today’s meals were similar to my meals on yesterday’s post, Real Life Eating..the positive part is that I was truly eating intuitively. What did I want for breakfast? Chocolate and Coffee. So I had a Starbucks banana chocolate chip cake + Pike Place with cream and savored every bite.

After my morning gastric bypass class, I had a juicy red pear at my desk.

And, lunch was my favorite take-out Greek Chicken Salad….it was so good….about half is perfect for one meal, so the leftovers will likely be lunch tomorrow.

Usually I’m a pretty positive, “glass is half-full” kind of person…but, I’ve been a bit grumpy this week, just feeling a little tired and overscheduled. This morning, I came across these quotes on Quote Garden about Attitude and it was just the reminder I needed that I choose how my days go. I particularly liked this one….
Happiness is an attitude. We either make ourselves miserable, or happy and strong. The amount of work is the same. ~Francesca Reigler
I felt better all day.
Now, I’m excited to be home…I think we’re going out on a casual date night…fun. Have a great evening!
Hey! I have a question for you! I know that you’re a nutritionist, and I had a question about intuitive eating. I read the book (loved it..) but I don’t need to loose weight. I am at a healthy weight, but I wanted to eat “normally” and by that I thought I would try IE. Now, the book talks about weight loss, and using intuitive eating as a tool. How can I incorporate intuitive eating concepts, but use it to maintain? I would love any advice you could give!
I love that quote Angie, it’s SO true! I try to remind myself, constantly, that stress and attitude are all created in our minds. WE have 100% control over it.
Nice job listening to your body and choosing the perfect breakfast to fit your needs!
I love your positive attitude, Angie!
Today I struggled a bit with my own Operation No Snooze…but tomorrow’s another day!!
Nice looking pear!
I like the quote! This week seems to be a little rough on everyone I guess!
Have a fantabulous day today
I am such a sucker for attitude quotes! As someone who is not really thrilled at my job, I need them to make me feel better! Thanks for posting the quote!
such a true quote, you know I’ve been feeling kind of grumpy and down these past weeks with the thesis troubles and trying to figure out my life and what I’m doing and not feeling like there’s enough time in the day to just breathe. I also like the saying ‘Make it a great day!’ Thanks
