Woo hoo!! Weekend Warriors day.
This is the first class that I’ve helped with since the November Edition. It was a nice break to take the month of December off, but I was so happy to get back to it today. For a little background on what the class is and how my friend Tammye started Weekend Warriors, check out my post Strong Women, Weekend Warriors from last June.
When my alarm went off at 7 am this morning, I crawled out of bed, got dressed, grabbed a cup of coffee and a kashi bar, and headed out the door.

Tammye and I did a little planning/set-up between 8:00 and 9:00. At 9:00, everyone was smiling and ready to go!

Some highlights from class:
Warm-up first….

We divided the class into 3 groups and did a circuit. They rotated through upper body, lower body, and cardio stations.
Team Amy focusing on upper body, Team Kelly had hamstrings on balls, and Team Teresa was doing cardio work on treadmills and ellipticals….

After about an hour with the circuit, we came back together for some “metabolic” drills- about 30-45 seconds of intense activity with brief rest periods. Hard.
And, we finished with abs and some stretching.

Awesome class! Great job Tammye and great job ladies – you guys are awesome!
Tammye (her clients call her the Tamminator), me and Heather (from Heather’s Burnt Toast)….sweaty + happy!

What a fabulous start to the weekend.
After class, I had a quick lunch: turkey sandwich + kale chips with a little ketchup….I just made kale chips for the first time earlier this week. I used Kath’s recipe with a little grated Romano and they turned out great. If you try making them, be sure to keep a close eye on them- there is a fine line between crispy and burnt…so just pay attention and they’ll turn out perfect.

Now, it is time to figure out what the rest of the day holds. I’m so excited to have the rest of the Saturday free to spend with my husband. Have a great Saturday!
What an awesome start to your weekend! Enjoy the rest of your day, Angie!
